I’m a therapist who works mostly with boys and young men who are struggling with anger, identity, anxiety, or just finding their way in the world—because I’ve been there too.
As a teenager, I felt stuck and lost. I didn’t know how to talk about what was going on inside, and I didn’t really feel like anyone saw it anyway. What changed things for me was having someone show up—without judgment, without pretending—to really listen. That moment shaped everything about how I approach this work.
My background includes a Master’s Degree in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University, and undergraduate degrees in both Psychology and English Literature from Trent University. That literature background still influences how I work—I help people look at their stories with new eyes, unpack the meaning underneath the surface, and imagine what could come next.
In therapy, I use a mix of CBT, narrative therapy, psychodynamic approaches, and strengths-based work. That means we’ll explore what’s going on below the surface, but also work on real-life tools to manage things like anxiety, stress, ADHD, or emotional outbursts. I work with youth, adolescents, and adults. Whether you’re a teen navigating a hard season or a parent looking for support for your son, I’ll meet you with honesty, empathy, and respect.
When I’m not working, you can usually find me:
Walking with our two massive dogs, Ghost and Mia
Hanging out with my wife Hailey (who’s currently on leave from the practice)
Practicing Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu
Playing music or being outside as much as I can
Dawn Therapy & Wellness was built from the belief that people—especially boys and young men—need spaces where they can be supported without being fixed. I’m proud to help create that space, and to walk alongside the people who show up in it.
