Therapy for youth, young adults, and families in North Durham

We work with people who are feeling stuck, disconnected, or unsure of what’s next. Therapy doesn’t need to feel intimidating. We meet you where you’re at—and help you figure out where you’re going.

We integrate a variety of therapeutic approaches—including cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, narrative therapy, and mindfulness-based practices—to create personalized treatment plans that reflect each client’s unique needs.

We also offer sessions virtually by phone or secure video. Video sessions are through the platform, Jane, and are HIPAA compliant

  • Youth therapy provides a safe and supportive space for kids and teens to explore their thoughts, feelings, and challenges.

    • Difficulty expressing themselves

    • School or friendship challenges

    • Disconnection from family

    • Low self-worth or lack of motivation

We work especially well with boys and young men who may not feel comfortable opening up in typical therapy spaces.

Counselling for Indigenous People

Did you know that our therapy services may be covered through the Non-Insured Health Benefits (NIHB) Program? NIHB is a federal program that helps First Nations, Indigenous, and Inuit people access health services that aren't covered by OHIP. If you don't have extended health benefits and are Indigenous, NIHB could provide funding for your therapy.

Steps to Access NIHB:

  • Most Indigenous people with “Indian Status” are eligible to receive reimbursement for approximately 22 sessions per year. Contact the Ontario NIHB office at 1-800-640-0642 to confirm your eligibility. You can also visit NIHB’s website HERE to learn more.

  • Reach out to us to begin therapy and let us know you’re using the NIHB program. Attend your therapy session and make your payment to us. We aren’t able to offer direct-billing at this time.

  • Submit your therapy receipt to NIHB using their Express Scripts platform. Not sure how? We can give you a tutorial! Psst... make sure your direct deposit info is set up on your account so you get reimbursed by NIHB faster!
